How to right a Poem

May 10th, 2012 | Posted by Willis in Uncategorized - (0 Comments)

This poem,

is to let you know,

how to right a poem,

lets go!

A poem is stuff,

It makes you angry,

and throw a huff

writing a poem is rough.

Wait, look!

I made a win

look! Look!

Gold! gold!

Oh, I love my gold

Behold, all my gold,

My favourite thing to hold.

If warm or cold,

I gaze upon my gold,

you are bold,

to ask about my gold.

A story is to be told,

about my lovely gold,

you must behold,

my 10 year story of gold.

In The Back Of The Room

May 7th, 2012 | Posted by Willis in Uncategorized - (0 Comments)

Here I sit,
in the back,
of the room,
happiness slacks.

In the back,
Here I wait,
to tempt fait.

In the back,
the damned scare,
and tempt anyone,
to enter their lair.

But in the front,
Happiness will kiss,
Anyone who sits,
in the front with heavenly bliss.

Shrek 2

I think the message of this story “Shrek 2″ is about how society on likes the rich and beautifil. They force people to bend their knee to do what they want. I think this movie shows it very well.

When Shrek and fiona first arrive, every one is taken aback that they are ogres. Since its her daughter, the queen welcomes them. The king does not.

Later, they seat them at a dinner table, and you have to think of a ogre sitting in a fancie dinner table.

Another person, the cat “Puss and Boots” tries to kill shrek because he was hired bye the king to kill him! He wanted shrek dead because he wasn’t what he wanted for his daughter. Later the cat became his friend!

Later they went to the fairy god mothers factory. On the cover it looks like a little factory, But its really huge. What they came for was a potion of beauty. They did find one and once he drank it, he became accepted because he was handsome.

In the end they let the change happen to turn them to their ogre self. Even though they though they wouldn’t be accepted. They were accepted because they accept themselves.

I think the moral of the story is that people need to be more forgiving and accepting of people who are not there best image. they need to be more accepting of others and people should accept themselves.

Thanks for Reading

Is Louis Riel a Traitor or Hero

November 29th, 2011 | Posted by Willis in Uncategorized - (0 Comments)

Is Louis Riel a Hero or a Traitor. He was a Metis from the time he was Born. At age 14 he had started to study to be a priest. Four years before he fell in love with a woman. He left his studies to marry her. The Girls parents would not agree to this marriage because he was Metis, so he returned to Red River Settlement.

When Canada bought Red River, Settlers started to come and develop it and take the land. The Metis wanting to keep there Rights Made a Provisional Government and named Louis Riel. A man named Thomas Scott Was executed for treason. In the eyes of the Canadian Government, that was murder. Riel was going to be arrested, But before the Canadian police could arrest him he fled to the United States.

In the states, Riel, started to go insane saying he was the prophet of the new world. Someone did eventually convince Riel to go back to Canada. When he did, he managed to convince the Metis to arm themselves and join him at Batoche. When they did they somewhat formed a uprising against the Canadian government. The government attacked the fort well the Metis tried to defend themselves but the police outnumbered them Three to one, eventually they captured the fort.

The Trial For Riel was treason, the Government wanted him to be hanged, The people in Ontario wanted him dead, Quebec wanted him to be allowed to live. The trial was very biased mostly englishmen. In the end Riels lawyers tried to convince the judge he was insane. Louis Riel knew this would be a blow to his metis followers, showed he was not insane. In The end, louis Riel was hanged for treason.

So in my opinion, Louis Riel was a traitor to everyone in Canada because he went against his government twice, and he lost both times. He got a warning the first time, he got exiled from Canada. He then came back and tried to overthrow his government. He caused hundreds of deaths in his mission. All he did was pray, he never fired a bullet. Louis Riel was a coward and a traitor to Canada.

In class a few days ago we watched a PSA on bullying, I think that the PSA ” Talent Show” is very effective in how it potrayed its meaning. It showed the girl on the stage, Lindsay, complaining about some girl named patty through speaking. The camera veiw on patty,s face showed emotions very well. It was really sad. In the end it showed the message “You should not say it to their face, why online”.

Should the Government Rate Music

November 10th, 2011 | Posted by Willis in Uncategorized - (5 Comments)

Hey guys, Willis here, thinking about what music would be like if the Government rate our Music. In my opinion, The government should not rate music. The people who buy and listen the music should rate it!

If the government rated music, we would only listen to one type of music because its highest rated. We would only be interduced to one type of music. Everything else would be low rated.

A lot of people in the Government are older, like mid forty’s, so they would, most likely, listen to classical music. Most younger people dislike the older types of music. I personaly dislike classical, so I think most people my age would dislike it to.

If the government rated our music, people who performed classical would be rich. The people who preform Metal, Techno and rap would run out of business. I personally enjoy Metal and Techno so i would be really annoyed.

So, in conclusion, I think the government should not rate music, it would discourage people to perform other types of music. the ratings would keep us away.

Cell Phones in School

November 4th, 2011 | Posted by Willis in Uncategorized - (1 Comments)

Hey Guys, Willis here, bringing to you todays subject of cellphones in school. In my opinion, I think we should have cellphones in school for work and emergencies.

I think this because, it would help students get their notes. If a student were to miss that day they could get the notes from their friend over phones. If a student were to lose a note they could be texted the answer.

Therefor, they could help each other study by giving each other random questions. They could send stuff they need to give them stuff.

The best reason, the cell phones could help with safety on the yard. If a student were to hurt themselves on the yard, something serious, they could go call the teachers cell phones. The children could get calls from there family about personal family matters.

These are some reason we should have cell phones in school because it would help everyone in there education and safety.
